Module 5 Unit 5 First Aid 词汇教学案例

一、教学对象:高二英语第五模块第五单元第三学时

二、教学内容:微语境及练习讲解

三、使用的学科应用名称:敏特立思辰葵花籽英语学习应用

四、应用方式:辅助课堂教学,学习课后巩固

五、教学设计:

学情分析:

本节课词汇是和我们的现实生活联系非常密切的一个问题,是有关急救的一些常识性的问题,本单元话题是讨论对不同的情况采取什么急救措施,专业词汇不多,学生通过闪卡学习,打百环练习,已经在视听方面有大致印象,但对微语境中的句子理解仍然费解,词汇练习没有主动去做,看不懂的内容就直接放弃,本人认为帮助学生理解应用中提供的练习和微语境句子有着重要意义。

教学目标: 帮助学生理解应用中提供的练习和微语境句子,做到学以致用。

教学活动设计:

Step 1: Warming up

Competition in groups: Read the words and phrases on the screen and tell the meaning of Chinese as quickly as possible.1 point each word

(aid/first aid/temporary/fall ill/injury/bleed/sprain/ankle/choke/

cupboard/skin/essential/vital/pour/firm/apply/barrier/variety)

Step 2. Show the sentences in micro-context and get some students to explain each sentence.(3 points each sentence)

1.aid:This is a first aid kit.

2.first aid: From this year on, the school’s going to offer a first aid course.

3.temporary: The detour is temporary until the main road is fixed.

4. fall ill: Little Cathy fell ill on the way back home.

5.firm:

Parents must be firm with their children.

The young man worked hard and wanted to set up his own firm.

6.vital:

Internet is as vital to learning as the ability to understand, even more so.

In aerospace devices(设备) the weight of the necessary power producing equipment is vital .

7.apply

Scientific research results can now be quickly apply to factory production.

After a short holiday, he applied  himself once more to his studies.

8.barrier

Obama’s success in presidential election proves that the color of one’s skin shouldn’t be a barrier to success.

Carbon dioxide, which makes a barrier between us and the sun, prevents heat from getting out of the atmosphere easily, so the earth is becoming warmer.

We believe that a free trade barrier will destroy wealth and benefit no one in the long run.

Step 3: Consolidation 2 points each sentence

Finish the exercises in Flash Card

Step 4:Homework

1.Make sentences with “first aid, a variety of, apply…to, squeeze out, in place” and hand in .

2.Preview warning up and reading

教学实施与反思:

引导学生充分理解微语境中的难句,之后做闪卡的巩固练习,现学现用,以造句的形式加以自主运用,有一定的效果,在实施本单元词汇教学过程中,微语境练习重现率多,如barrier, firm, apply, vital, a variety of等多次出现,这样有利于学生对该词义的理解,效果较好。但是,不论是闪卡学习,还是微语境,最好可以选择一些课文的实例,以免词汇教学与课本资源脱节,做到既不离开文本资源,为课文阅读服务,又有新的知识应用拓展,那将会事半功倍。
